You know Aroura, I don't think you even deserve to watch anything created by GRRM in the first place. You just don't, since you seem to think he somehow works for you 'cause you're his reader. How can you live with yourself, like really? I would be so ashamed if I were you.

You are SO CUTE!
I'm pretty sure we should stop derailing this thread with insults though. It's very childish. If you cannot stop doing it for no good reason, I'm going to have to put you back on ignore. Can we go back to discussing Game of Thrones, instead of your opinions on my opinions? Thanks.

Actually, I'm just going to skip having to read anything you write in response, since it is sure to be more of the same. Leopards never change their spots and all that. Bye bye little man.

Do you guys worry that watching the show will spoil the books in the future, or that you'll have less interest in the books after you've watched a the show?
I've often read books that are later made into movies or tv shows, but I've never had to worry about the opposite. And if the books and TV show have majorly different plot elements, which will people consider as cannon, since both are sanctioned by Martin?
The show writers claim this will be the best season yet, without a weak episode in the lot. I'm really excited to see what happens, but I have a little worm of worry that I'm ruining the experience by watching it first, instead of reading it first.
writers talk
Quote:"This season, there is not a weak episode," . "We're always reluctant to say it's 'the best season yet' because so much of that is in the eyes of the beholder. And Dan (Weiss, his co-creator) and I are so close to it that it's impossible to be unbiased. But that's my sense -- watching them all together now, this is the best one we've done."

I didn't start reading the books until I watched 3 seasons of the show, and that didn't stop me from loving the first 3 books. So I think I'll enjoy reading TWOW and ADOS even with finishing the show.
Books will definitely always be canon over the show.

Shall Simeon start a poll here, is Jon dead, a whitewalker, rezzed my Melisandre, or other? I wonder which is the more popular theory.
I have no idea or theory I am leaning towards. I'm hoping to be surprised in some way.

On the show? I think he'll just be resurrected by Melisandre. She may try a ritual to bring Stannis back, and to her surprise it's Jon that comes back, confirming that he is Azor Ahai.
I think it'll go down the same way in the books but Jon warged into Ghost seconds before his death. I don't see why GRRM would have put in that Varamyr prologue or had Jon's last word be "Ghost" if he wasn't planning on that happening.

I never read his books, nor do I intend to do so. So, the show won't spoil anything for me. Books are usually better than any tv or movie adaptions though. So I can't imagine the show spoiling anything for anyone.

I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later.
