Drich, someone has, or maybe even I have, probably asked you this before, but why, exactly are you here? What are your goals?
I used to pose this question what seemed like a lot, but I never got what seemed like an honest answer and, tenacious as I can be, I wouldn't usually push much further because it seemed a futile effort. I really am curious about this, though. I really hope you'll answer honestly.

That's real funny why my wife hits me too. Last time I told her some spagetti was not fit to give the dogs and she took the scalding pot off the stove and threw at me. (whole wheat pasta) just missed me with the pot but covered me in 212+*F Pasta and sauce.
A real FSM
There couldn't be a more perfect example of an utter lack of empathy. The ugliness of your character makes me very sad. It's a good thing that my opinion of you is already as low as it can get for a fellow human.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Just to explain, I was insinuating that children are smarter than you. It was an insult.

Ever heard of a tablet?

Sounds like a problem with how he was raised. Maybe he had been hit too many times?

Because if you watch the video the mom says the boy is rarely if ever disciplined. (The mom never hit him and the dad may take his hat and dust his bottom with it from time to time.)
And you believe them? Rarely if ever? Then they suddenly start paddling him?

nupe.
You can only train a blank slate of a dog. You can not 'train a dog' who has been train to eat your ass if I tell it to. the only thing going to stop a dog like that is a beating or deadly force.
I can train any dog without hitting it. It just takes time and patience.
Just because you can't, doesn't mean to say that others aren't more capable than you.

Another example of not being able to feel empathy.
It didn't occur to you the effect this would have on your wife. All you see is the action that resulted from it and think that it is abuse from her.
You go through life not really understanding why the world works as it does. But you don't even understand that you are missing some vital understanding.

because if you "Train up a child the way he should go, when he gets old he shall not depart far from that training."
That doesn't answer my question. Why do you care about him not departing from his training?

I wonder if Drich will admit he doesn't have empathy, and if so, how this affects his decisions compared to those who do?
If he does have it, it's sitting whimpering in a corner, scared to move in case it gets another thrashing. But I think, sadly, it's already been totally beaten out of him. He's a victim.

Ironically the one type of person I can't empathise with is someone with no empathy. I simply can't imagine it.
But I do feel sympathy, nonetheless. I totally understand all the shocked reactions to this sociopathic drivel, I feel them myself. But I also see that on a fundamental level, he's not as fit to stand trial for the things he says and does as someone who does have empathy. I'm not excusing any of this, just saying that we're dealing with a totally different type of person.
I feel a bit sorry for him, actually. Both this thread and the transsexual one have both backfired about as badly as is humanly possible and highlighted the actual issues lie with him, and people like him, in both cases.
I'm not saying that anyone should stop being shocked, and stating this very clearly, so as to guide other readers away from this kind of thing. But in Drich's case, I realise that we are basically appealing to empathy, we're trying to show him how wrong it is, when he doesn't have any equipment to know what is wrong.
So it's the wrong tool for the job. What is the right tool? Fucked if I know.
Drich thinks it's corporal punishment. Knowledgeable people would start with therapy in the understanding that it would give us our best chance of identifying the right tool.
Either way, I think Drich has shown us that he's a right tool.

Hmm. I suppose we should be grateful he's not killing people and such. Would he be, if not for the delusions of his soul hanging in the balance? Hard to say. If he cares about his own well-being, which he seems to, then running afoul of the law isn't a good plan. Would he do it if he could get away with it, with no consequences? That's an interesting question.
I'm not just trying to psycho-analyse drich in particular here, but anyone lacking empathy. Expecting them to be responsible, accept their "condition" and to seek the correct help, is probably asking the impossible. Drich has made it clear that his idea of "morality" in no way factors in the well-being of anyone but himself. This is entirely consistent. He just wants to get his final reward, by spreading the message to "just obey". That's probably what he's doing here actually. Scoring points.
I just can't be mad at him. I know I should be, part of me wants to be. But I genuinely think he has no empathy, and not through his own actions. So what I can realistically expect from him just isn't the same as I could expect from an average person. That doesn't mean I endorse or excuse anything he does or says. Just that I hold him less accountable than I would someone who does have empathy. I still fully discourage anyone else from following his example, in any capacity. But part of my own subjective morality, when applied to others, is to do with accountability and capability.
It hardly matters we're getting off topic since this was, if anything, a cry for help post if not just an attempt to annoy people. Maybe this discussion will help him learn something about himself, and give him a new perspective.

You do understand what you consider to be 'education' is punishable by beheading in the Islamic state right? How do you 'educate those people' if you first do not remove by force those supporting that law?
Fuck you sick fuck. I have yet to get a decent answer from the right who fall for the demagoguery what their solution to the mess the Middle East.
Your binary thinking of "get rid of them" is the same black and white thinking they suffer from. We tried busting them up with two failed wars Bush started which ended up in needless Military and civilian deaths. And you still blame the current leadership when they try anything.
So genus, "get rid of them" ok? How? More war? Prison camps? Extermination camps? Nuclear war? Now asshole, nobody on the left likes Islam's justifications for political or religious violence anymore than you do, but nobody on the right has anything but emotional fear and the same monotheistic "eye for an eye" bullshit, which ironically is not a product of the OT, Bible or Quran, but the Code of Hammurabi. All three religions have that concept but like most of the motifs in all three, they are simply monotheistic versions of prior polytheism.
Nope, sorry it is one thing to attack bad ideas, it is also one thing to physically go after violent people. But once you start selling a "final solution" of "all or nothing" bludgeoning others to submission you have become the monster you say you are fighting yourself.
But your blanket solution of physical punishment is exactly the authoritarianism all three teach and why all three cannot get along. Because that is what all three god claims of all three books teach, "obey me, blind loyalty, or face punishment".
You're as much a problem as they are, the only difference is we have a more a secular leash on you, than the middle east has on Islam currently. The OT, Bible and Quran are all gang manuals and until you face it and Jews and Muslims face it and treat those books as the weapons they are, nobody is going to get the more peace everyone should want.
Yep, treat kids like property and treat the outsider as "other" or mere pets at best. That is what allows humans to treat other humans like shit. Religion has scrambled your brain.
