Christian answering questions.

RE: Christian answering questions.
You say that there's not a single observable event of evolution. What do you think 'observation' means in the scientific context?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Ooooooooooooooh man, this guy is straight out of Answers In Genesis.

Be advised, Cherubim. There are many here who have backgrounds/careers in biochemistry and evolutionary biology, including myself.

The "Polonium halos" AiG article is over 20 years old, and has been heavily debunked by actual research.

Edit to Add: Upon looking, I found out that Robert Gentry first forwarded the idea in 1965... so it's over 50 years old. However, since I first encountered this misinformation in college in the 1990s, I took it to be 20 years. My mistake.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

It didn't. I became a Christian first and then learned about the Bible, God, young earth, etc and have confirmed it all since. My testimony makes it a little more clear how that is possible.

I suppose you are also a literal believer in the global flood myth? Aside from your storybook, what evidence do you have that such an event happened?

I hope you know that we have the same evidence but a different interpretation of said evidence. Does an atheist interpret it my way or his way? You're going about it the wrong way.

So your god made the whole Universe and everything in it. How? By what mechanism or means? How do you know this and how do we test for it?

We have never observed one kind of animal turning into another kind of animal. Please notice the word kind and not species.

Yes I am.

The evidence is everywhere. Every major civilization speaks of a worldwide flood. In ancient chinese, the word for boat is 8 people in a door.

There are two ways to look at the world today based on the data available;

1. The world is billions of years old and a small little changes over time happened.

2. The world is thousands of years old and a huge worldwide flood cut out the huge rock fast.

There is no other option. And again, you are limited by the historical science here. The proof is in favour of the creationist story, why? Because we find animals buried fast and fossilized fast.

No, I asked what you think the word 'observation' means in a scientific context, not an example of what you think it isn't.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. - Genesis 1:3

Notice God said.

“Everything owes its existence solely and completely to sound.” - Peter Guy Manners

This is all we have from scripture on how He created it. I do not know, nor does it really matter for salvation.

Are all the scriptures given by inspiration of God, and are they profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness ??
