I saw the thread title and my immediate response was "only if it was your car".
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Should have planted a car bomb and just waited. At least you'd know the person would definitely not bother you again. Or you could just shoot the person when they come back and pay any witnesses to say they attacked you. Problem solved.

Nope, you were far more reasonable than I would have been, especially if you've put notes on other vehicles and have been taunted in reply.

I'd just have them towed.

Setting it on fire *might* be a jerk move, but only insofar as it'll be no easier for your wife to get out of your driveway.

I think you went well beyond what is reasonable for some jackass who parks in your driveway.

On the other hand, if you park in someone's driveway, you had better know your car could be towed. If you are ignorant of that possibility, then you deserve to have it towed in the first place.

I'd imagine if they themselves finished whatever business they were tending to, and just happened to move the car before the tow came, they probably think they've found a parking spot. If so, I'd call the tow truck myself immediately next time. If this is a recurring event, it might be worthwhile to eschew the notes all together and place one of these at the end of your driveway.

My bad.  Here you go.

You could always put the car up on cinder blocks and remove the tires. What are they gonna do about it? Nothing. It's sitting on your property. Do as you like.
