I also wanted to inform you that I lightly modified and then plagiarized your statments in a YouTube argument. I did not attribute them, and I apologize. I just thought you said it as well as I possibly could, and I felt it would take away from the force of the words if I said they were not my own, in that format. (Besides, I didn't want those assholes backtracking the citation to AF and burying us in their bullshit, here.) If you are not okay with it, please tell me ASAP, and I will remove my comment there.

A Modest Proposal:

Maybe we could install those body-scanner things from the airports, and employ the TSA in protecting the entrances to women's bathrooms?

(Luckily, no one seems to be worried that predatory men might molest little boys in those "appropriate" bathrooms for their sex/gender, so we wouldn't have to overburden them, protecting all the possible  victims.)

I would have no quarrel with that. so say a transgender person might feel uncomfortable around the bathroom they were originally allowed to be in. so say they go to the other bathroom so they don't feel that anymore. I can guarantee you they might not feel uncomfortable anymore but the rest of the people in the bathroom just did. so they can kiss that exude goodbye. it's not being a bigot it's being a parent or brother or husband that doesn't want harm to come to women. you people are the same ones that go on about wen being treated fairly and women should be this and that and I'm trying to protect them but you don't give a shit. so get the hell out of here.

+Bryan Blue  The numbers don't support your claim.  It is already legal in many states for the transgender population to use the restroom of their choice based on their gender identity.  There are a total of ZERO reported cases of any assaults against women or children.  Not one case.  I implore you to do research on this matter before you start spewing hatred and bigotry.  It only makes you appear uneducated and ill informed.  And you sound like a bigot.  With education comes understanding.  It also alleviates fear.   And the numbers suggest you shouldn't have any greater fear than you normally would about strangers attacking women and children.  A man can walk into a bathroom and attack the weak and vulnerable at any time.  They don't need to put a dress on to do it.  A 6 year old girl was raped and murdered in a Las Vegas bathroom.  She went into the bathroom alone.  An older man saw her walk in and followed her.  She died while her dad was playing blackjack.  He didn't put on a dress to do it.  There is a whole world out there you know nothing about.  It would be in your best interest to expand your horizons.  If you are unwilling to do so (and you have that right), that please shut up.  How many white men have raped and killed??  No one discriminates or marginalizes all white males because of it.  THAT is the common sense we need.

+Joshua Comer First, I'm a married father of two sons, and also a proud feminist. I care about treating women with respect, dignity, and equality, and of course I wish to protect my boys against any realistic threat. So from that perspective, here are a couple things I noticed about your reply:

1) You assumed I'm wanting to be trans*, myself, and called me a "ho" for it, as if the facts I presented could be dismissed if you labeled me one of the two groups you obviously look down upon. If it were not so, you would not consider those words insulting or powerful. Perhaps you would not need to use such terms if your masculinity was based on something other than male chauvinism.

2) You're not trying to protect women, you're using a nonexistent threat (when there are so many real ones) to demonize other vulnerable people and place them in greater danger than they already are, and not protecting women in the slightest.

3) Trans women (the transitioning former men to whom you seem to be referring) are often, even usually, indistinguishable from "regular" women, visually. No one is made uncomfortable because no one notices, period. This is not a thing! What WOULD make women uncomfortable is if a female-to-male transition was forced into the women's room after a year on meds, but before the surgery, when a beard and other masculine traits would have developed already.

4) You're ignoring that even if everyone was able to be magically screened for the presence of a penis before going in, the predators still have unfettered access to our boys, in those "appropriate" men's bathrooms. Do the vulnerable boys not count, or are you only worried about our women and daughters?

Nothing stops a rapist from going wherever he wants, especially if he chooses to employ a disguise, but usually it's unnecessary. We all want to protect our children and loved ones, but this law demonizes a group who is already vulnerable and yet provides no real protection. It is a fiction, it takes away a liberty for trans people to determine for themselves where they will cause the least alarm to others (because alarming others is what places them in danger), and for no demonstrable reason other than people's pre-judged false information. So please, read the list above, and learn. Fast.

hmmm....since obama and loretta lynch's justice dept. are pushing in favor of transgenders using the bathrooms of the sex they identify with, what's to keep a child molester, or a voyeur, or a rapist from saying he identifies with being a woman just to gain access to women's restrooms? Have obama and lynch put any safeguards in place to prevent something like this from happening? The NC law seems to be the only safeguard at this point.

The right screams about big government screams about states like North Korea, but they might as well promote that, because they certainly want to be everyone's "Big Brother".
