So, I ask you the following:
1. Just where should the money to support free college education come from?
2. What sort of criteria needs to be met in order for a student to get this free education?
3. If a person comes from a well off family, should their family be forced to pay for that child's college education or should that child go to school for free?

Mind if I take a crack at this?

1. Even a minor military earmark, such as a new small arms round, soaks up many more times the cash required to fund our dept of ed to near bursting.    Reach into that.  Though honestly, the issue you mentioned earlier has to do as much with school admin soaking up funds and there being little left to trickle down to teachers as it does with our level of funding.  You seen the wage disparity between dept. heads and educators recently?   We could free up a significant amount directly from the dept of ed itself by making changes to how they allocate what funds we already provide.  If all of that fails, for whatever reason, there's a thing called a tax.  

Well, I'm not entirely sure exactly how much of our military budget should be cut, but I suppose making cuts there is a possibility. I think where the true start needs to be made is with the salary the politicians themselves, earn. Cut that down to a realistic amount. Give them a still livable wage, but if they're only going to work 1/3 of the year, they should get paid as such without perks and benefits of those who actually put in an honest 40 hour (or more) work week. Also, give them ALL term limits. Not just a select handful, but every single one of them.

Yes, I've seen the wage differences between dept. heads (administration, if you will) and teachers. It saddens me.

2. The same requirements that need be met for elementary, middle, and high school educations.

College is a lot different than elementary and middle school, and even the first two years of high school. So the requirements for college should be stricter since there is a higher standard to maintain. But...

3. Free.  OFC it doesn't matter much, because people from well off families (and even people from poor families when they can swing it) -already- choose to forego the free education their child could recieve and send them to private school.  That won't change.

I think it should be free for everyone. Agreed. I also think that if someone wants to open a private school and charge tuition, they have that right, but they should be completely exempt from being eligible to receive title IX funding.

(and put a candidate up in a general that stumps on that and I'd be right out of my little hideyhole to vote for them, so long as it doesn't come bundled with "kill the gays" or somesuch shit, lol ).

Not risking Donald Trump making 3+ supreme court nominations for a generation.

This staying home bullshit is dumber than Trump. Local/State/Federal elections are still on the line. You don't just go to vote for President.

      Hillary choosing the 3+ supreme court nominations would be equally as bad. I don't trust that womans judgment at all, if it was Warren running for president I'd be voting. She is much more level headed the Hillary.

I've called every election, (usually during primary season) since Bush/Dukakis and have only been wrong once. I can hardly blame myself for Gore v Bush though, right?

I will be voting for Bernie Sanders, one way or another. Depending on the situation, some of you are going to inevitably insist that I'm throwing my vote away.

Your blame is misplaced.  If we get Trump..it will be because of the people who brought him the nomination....and because of the people who voted for him.  If you want to talk ancillary responsibility...there would still be more layers to spread out before you get to a non-voter....such as the opposition (on both sides) who failed to provide a candidate which could defeat him in the nomination or the general.

Sterben and myself, in the event of a Trump victory, would be about as responsible for that as my cat would be.

Not but a few months ago the voting left was complaining, rightly...that there -was- no american left anymore.  Center right and trending.  Suddenly, because Trump exists.....Hillary becomes liberal hope incarnate, lol.

Not at all. She isn't the candidate of my dreams. That would be the guy who is getting my vote in the California primary but who most likely will not be on the ballot for the general election. Disappointing. Now it is all about surviving and making the best of a bad situation. Your kids won't care that your pristine values are intact when they inherit a still more fucked up country.

The voting public has been trained to accept so much less than what is being advertised that, to me...they seem like a bunch of seals clapping for fish...except the performing seals actually get the damned fish.....and yall won't.

Cruz or Rubio can siphon off Trump support, and Bernie can run against Hill.

The pollsters will go nuts, the media will be in frenzy, and it will be a total crapshoot clusterfuck as anything could happen.
