Considering how ill I am in other ways, I'm actually in pretty good nick. I used to be fighting fit before the ME took me down, and I'm still physically okay.

If you think it's the way forward for the future, then go right ahead and become a vegan if you aren't already. Not meaning to sound rude or anything like that, but nobody is going to stop me eating meat.

It may be healthy if done right but eating meat hasn't done me any harm.

Did I say I was going to stop you?

I've had enough of this. If anyone wants to talk about this subject please PM me as I won't be returning to this thread.

Do any vegans here eat insects? Would you have an issue with that?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Even though I have met healthy vegans, I still understand that there should be balance. As with anything, going to the extreme of something, full vegan, can be just as harmful as going full carnivore. There needs to be a balance of what one consumes. Vegetables are important, meat is important, both of them are important for the body.

I'll take a nice juicy steak over a plate of plants any day.

Not all vegans, just as not all Christians preach.

Didn't see this post earlier for some reason. You're right, I could have worded my post better.

As long as the plants are bacon plants, I'm good with that. Big Grin

Honey is made by insects and is not vegan, so I'd say no.

From what I understand even most vegans aren't 100% vegan in their food/lifestyle all the time. It was explained to me that most do the best they can but they are usually about 90% vegan the majority of the time. This is from some of my vegan friends and info I received on a vegan fo. Limited but I think probably true.

I did a bit of research on this when my friend had to go vegan because of an illness. I wanted to make some recipes for her that were converted from some of her favorite recipes. I have no interest in veganism but I would love to see mega farming come under much tighter restrictions for their animal care. I do not condone abuse, even if an animal is going to be slaughtered it does not deserve to suffer for the duration of its life.
