What science says about plant-based diets (Vegan)

RE: What science says about plant-based diets (Vegan)
Well done, Aractus. I will watch the whole video tomorrow, when I am sober.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

And that's fine. Nobody is stopping anyone from becoming a vegan. Vegans, on the other hand, preach and try to force their lifestyle on everyone else.

I'll take a nice juicy steak over a plate of plants any day.

I'm a vegan, do I do that?

Yes, I've looked into it, and it's perfectly possible to be healthy on a vegan diet if it's done right. I believe it's the way forward for the future.

Considering how ill I am in other ways, I'm actually in pretty good nick. I used to be fighting fit before the ME took me down, and I'm still physically okay.

I'll fully admit there are some vegans who go around preaching and being general assholes about it. I find them embarresing and I think they do more harm to the cause than good. They give veganism a bad name, and just like vocal asshole theists, they stand out in people's memories.

Smile

If animals didn't want us to eat them they shouldn't be so yummy.

If you think it's the way forward for the future, then go right ahead and become a vegan if you aren't already. Not meaning to sound rude or anything like that, but nobody is going to stop me eating meat.

It may be healthy if done right but eating meat hasn't done me any harm.

Preaching or not, what you follow is likely not evidence-based, which was the point of my post. Yes you will find limited supporting evidence, but the body of evidence is what is followed in matters of public health not single examples or outliers.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke

Make plants as tasty as meat and I'll consider being vegetarian!

Even though I do love meat,I'm not necessarily addicted to it. As in, if tomorrow they banned all types of meat, I would carry on my day with veggies and not give a fuck.
I think the reason so many people are against vegetarianism is because they haven't really had any good vegetarian food. Y'all ought to come to my place, go to Google images and search for "sadhya kerala". That shit right there, is the BOMB,sadhya is finished with 3 types of "payasam"(Google images for it) and there are many more, but I'm afraid I don't know the English words for it, you could just google for what constitutes a sadhya if you are interested, get some recipes and try it, if you do try it, I'll have to warn you, there is no going back to meat,it's too hard.
