Isn't there more efficient ways of spending that money? Idk, helping the homeless, long-time unemployed, orphans.....nah. Let's build a giant, shiny "community center". I'm not usually a fan of Michael Moore, but I found this recent quote from him and agree with all of it.

I believe in an America that says to the world that we are a loving and generous people and if a bunch of murderers steal your religion from you and use it as their excuse to kill 3,000 souls, then I want to help you get your religion back. And I want to put it at the spot where it was stolen from you. Enormous pressure has been put on the Imam to stop his project. We have to turn this thing around. Are we going to let the bullies and thugs win another one? Aren't you fed up by now? When would be a good time to take our country back from the haters? I say right now.

Here's the thing... There are many muslims that were victims of 9/11 as well AND the "mosque" is a prayer center, containing 3 prayer rooms for each Abrahamic religion. This is like trying to stop a strip club from being built, they have the right. It's pathetic that this is such a big issue in America.

The issue was created by the far right in this country, it should have never been an issue but the media pumped it up to be one. I'm glad it has finally lost some steam, but that stupid fuck in Florida with his burning of the Qua-ran, has brought it back up. I hate those idiots. It's all for publicity what a sad sad man.
