You don't name a suspected criminal until they actually are convicted. Entirely different to the US. And it has been that way for the last 20 years at the very least. It was about princess Stefanie of Monaco and her rowdy husband back then. I don't remember the exact circumstances, but some incidence made it into general legislation. There are exemptions, obviously, since the infamous Josef Fritzl made it into the press by full name before being convicted. But there have been some lawsuits, obviously, since later on he was only called Josef F. |
