While we're talking about words with loose meanings, "to troll" can mean something serious (like being inflammatory) or to generally be giving someone shit.
I didn't understand the joke because, surprise, not all idioms or humorous statements are going to translate even when both countries speak the same language.
No one is persecuting you here, and I don't need their help - they're all quite aware of it too.
You do realise that people have fractured their ribs through laughter? You were "hollering with laughter", so I thought I would add a humorous quip

Now I know why I was such a pain in the ass to my family a few years back when I was younger and more immature and had recently spent 8 months reading the dictionary every day.
It was during the time when I was heavily medicated on lithium though too... not an excuse but fucking hell I'm a different person since coming off that stuff. I'm sure it's great when you actually need it!

Years ago when I was previously on this forum... I was on lithium the entire time. I read the dictionary for 8 months but I was on lithium not just for those 8 months but for 4 fucking years (before finally being told I was misdiagnosed...)...
IMO it's no coincidence that we had a very frustrating and repetitive debate or two some years back (although we had far more pleasant ones) and I was also heavily medicated on a high dose of lithium. I was seriously such a robot back them. Mr. EvidenceVsFaith the pedant... I was far less informal and far more here just for the atheism and debate. Now I'm sociable and like a normal fucking person! Wow!
I was always a nice guy overall I think but I was such a fucking pedant lol. I apologize for any frustration I caused you a few years back even if you don't remember it lol.
