IDK, you're the expert on words, obviously. I'm starting to think that it involves asians.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. Ok your opinion is that it's silly to think that white privilege involves privilege.
Does white privilege involve white people then?
Privilege exists in all walks of life and not just through colour of skin. It could be that being born and brought up as a male in any Islamic country that has Sharia law gives them the privilege of doing what the hell they like to a woman, when they know they will get away with it, that is privilege. Knowing that Asians i.e. Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamiens and Japanese are less likely to be shot by police is a Asian privilege because they seldom do anything wrong to warrant some sick pyscho copper putting a bullet through the brain. All races have privileges over the other, whether it is black, white, brown, yellow, pink or purple, it is just that "white privilege", is always used instead of clearly looking at the whole picture which is different.

I think that the term white privilege is used in the context of dominantly white and deeply racist nation/culture which has both engaged in the systematic oppression of minorities at every conceivable level of power right down to the day to day lives of it's citizenry...and seems to be deeply opposed to even -recognizing- that they continue to do so.. unintentionally or unconsciously.

I don't know. I just think that he is trying to expand on the idea that white privilege is not necessarily privileged to white people. That is to say that all groups are privileged over others in one country or another.
For example, South Africa was a great rugby and cricket nation in its day. However, over the last few years, the teams have got worse simply because of a racial quota i.e. black privilege over white people. The racial quota means that there could be hundreds of white players who are fantastic, but because of the quota imposed, these players are left to rot in the wilderness whilst their places are being taken by people who are deemed amateur at best. This is neither the fault of the blacks or the whites in South Africa but the government in South Africa.

That I agree with and there is no argument there. However, any nation is capable of racism, in spite of what we think.

White privilege isn't quotas...it's not overt and determined racism. It is the unearned wage of the color of one's skin. Those things I can take for granted for no reason other than my whiteness (of which there are a great many). I'm sure that the dynamics of privilege change with the demographics of power in any given country...but that doesn't speak to white privilege here, in the US.

It might not, but the "white privilege", that was had in South Africa, hence apartheid has become "black privilege."

I'm trying to expand on the idea that white privilege either involved privileged white people, using the definition of privilege and not something someone made up in order to fit a popular narrative.
And if privilege isn't used as defined in the dictionary lets not be racially bias about it and let's discuss Asian privilege, brown privilege, Jew privilege, Indian privilege, Japanese privilege.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

That's a simple definition, if you use the Oxford dictionary or Cambridge dictionary for a full definition it's precisely what I mentioned in the first post.
But you could go off a simple definition and then in my opinion it's still racially bias to focus on white privilege. When many other races have advantages for various reasons that black people don't have.
