Doctor shot at Berlin - another one going over the edge
|
|
Violence breeds violence. I imagine many religious fanatics and/or people with psychological problems are motivated to commit acts of violence, by atmosphere of terror and chaos, caused by ISIS attacks over the recent years, spun by mainstream media and right-wing politicians and fueled by scared people through social media.
It'll probably get worse, before it gets better...
"The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one." - George Bernard Shaw
It's a common effect and it's the media's depiction of such violent acts that inspires further ones indirectly. It's a sad truth.
X sees Y committing an atrocity on the news. X copies Y. Z copies X. And so on.
Well fuck.
I'm in Berlin right now. RE: Doctor shot at Berlin - another one going over the edge

I'm in Australia!
Bloody cockatoos are terrorising me! THERE IS NO PEACE HERE!
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
Okay, folks.
Don't shoot your doctors. They're overworked, underpaid, and should be treated on par with the most defenceless and innocent of beasts. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" |
