No, I do believe he's pretending other people are dumb by assumming we don't all know what I'm saying when I'm asking another person whether they believe in "God" or in Gods.
Nope. Rob is certainly not disingenuous.

Asking whether you're a theist or an atheist is only gibberish if you're an idiot, I'm sorry to say. I truly am not interested in pretending everyone is dumb as fuck here and talk with that in mind, I'm sorry. I'd rather assume people are smarter than they give the impression they are in this very thread and get my points across with that in mind.
It really does come naturally!

Those other qualifiers do not preclude one from being either an atheist or a theist. You are either one or the either, depending on whether you explicitly believe in a God or not.

Thank you
Do I have a track record of being disingenuous? If not, why am I being accused just because I'm not sticking to EPs script?
Repeating things endlessly doesn't make them true either.

I'll try and make sure your pedantry isn't contagious to me EP. I can be pedantic sometimes and it's hard to escape it when I do.
Thou shalt not be a pettily pedantic.
But at the same time, you're being a lot more respectful than normal lately

Hardly makes you a theist
How about "God is whatever philosophical principle or creative property that allows the Universe to exist?" That I believe in necessarily. I also think panpsychism is a possibility, and in that case I'd think of the Universe as God, but literally have no way to confirm it.
Sometimes, you're agnostic in a conditional sense: I believe IF idea X is true, then God is real. But you have no way to validate idea X. (for example, panpsychism). At any rate, being shouted at, "Are you dumb? Do you believe in a god, any god, yes or no?" is kind of insulting, and makes for pretty boring conversation.
The conversation didn't start that way, yet you kept evading a simple question by pretending you didn't know what I was asking.
I do believe you just admitted to being a theist, so there you go then. You are a theist, not an atheist.

I sometimes think I understand EP a little when he gets hung up on words. I can be like it a lot sometimes. For me it's like an OCD or very mild aspergers thing or something.

He seems to be working on it but I think I'll tune him out until the ambient annoyance in my forum experience comes down.
You're such a baby, which is odd, given the age difference here. This is a discussion, these sometimes get a little heated, no reason to shut someone out because you don't like it when they point out your fallacious reasoning. And please do notice that you're the one that called me an imbecile, or some such like, not me. So, basically, for being the bigger person in that situation this is what I get. You're being a baby.

I don't know what's going on. He seems hugely uncomfortable with anyone disagreeing with him, and uninterested in any objections. Repeat until everyone else gets bored and declare victory. It's usually a theist strategy.
Well, I'm bored, so I guess I lose. Bye.

I do believe a dictionary will serve that purpose far much better than I, if the person concerned is bent on pretending not to understand my questions, which I'm sure he does.
