I find that all too often with libertarians that their concept of "civil liberties" boils down to "if you're rich you can do what you want, if you're not well then sucks to be you".

This is a gross mischaracterization.

Pretty much everybody I've met who's espoused libertarian principles ends up being this shitty.

Plenty wide set of contacts as is. And based on what I've studied of libertarianism (I used be quite right wing before I grew up) and libertarians I know and interacted with, I am pretty confident that my portrayal of the ideology and most adherents is accurate.
