That's a difficult one. I guess I would have to say that yes he did deserve it IMO but my opinion doesn't make something right. And I think...it's never ok to physically harm someone as punishment or retribution. Zimmerman is a massive Douchenozzle and I wish the guy wouldn't have punched him. Not only because it was wrong but mostly because it gives that asshole a new platform to stand on. I wouldn't be surprised if he paid that guy to punch him for the publicity.

Murderers, oddly, still enjoy protection from street justice and of their human dignity. The ethical standards of Western society I think clearly say that it's as illegal as punching anyone else. Maybe the hitter can claim extenuating circumstances bc. he was emotionally affected by Zs behavior, but that's pretty much it.
