Lightly toasted some walnuts in the oven and made a batch of maple walnut fudge. Used mostly white sugar with about a quarter-cup of brown sugar, plus some dark maple syrup and artificial maple extract. It could stand to have a bit more maple flavour, but overall it's better than my last attempt.
