Do you see any benefits to religious faith?

Yet, it is still a work of fiction with no basis for evidence to support anything that was written.

Your confusion is completely understandable when the religious adherents don't even understand and operate incorrectly.......because the concept has been taken from them.

You might want to realize that grammar in quotes is very important. Your quote is meaningless, because the usage of were speaks solely of past tense rather than anything present or future.

Yeah, let me tell you a story called Mody Dick, it's a classic! You'll love it, it's about an obsessed captain chasing a giant white manatee. Bigger and meaner than any other dugong out there! Dodgy

What? It was a whale? That's not what everyone says today, and even if it was, that was a long time ago and it's the current year.

It's just fiction, accuracy isn't important! Rolleyes

I fail to follow your ill logic. Fiction is fiction.

Oh my stars, you're right. I'm sure they never did it again and immediately and gave back the key of knowledge to the people.

Come on man...

Oh I get the point, it's just superfluous.

Hilarious

Even if you want to assume Jesus was talking about the building temple and not the inner kingdom of heaven, my point stands because PEOPLE CAME TO THE TEMPLE EVERYDAY.

Luke 11:52
New Living Translation
"What sorrow awaits you experts in religious law! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people. You don't enter the Kingdom yourselves, and you prevent others from entering."

Berean Literal Bible
Woe to you lawyers, for you have taken away the key of knowledge. You yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who are entering."

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
“Woe to you Scribes, because you have taken away the keys of knowledge! You have not entered and those who are entering you have hindered.”

Say the only way to get to your house is a bridge and I destroy the bridge. I have hindered all those who are trying to enter.
