TL;DR Hi! Great thread! (September 12, 2016 at 1:26 pm)Nymphadora Wrote: I signed up on Loseit.com. According to the information I put in, my daily caloric budget is 1862 calories per day. So far I've "spent" 400 of them. Don't go too crazy with counting calories; it can become a chore. You want to stay in the game. Once you get yourself on track, your daily regimen will become a natural thing. For what it's worth from a total stranger - I wish you much success.

I'm getting ready to resume my project, building a furniture-quality shelf unit for my component stereo. After that, a little guitarin'.

With all due respect, I think counting calories isn't that hard, and it can really help make dietary choices. Once think I learned was I can make some really yummy fried vegetables-- a LOT of them, eat them with a bowl of rice, and not too many calories. But if I eat one or two slices of "health" bread, my caloric budget is fucked.
The cabinetry didn't come out so well -- yes, I'll be buying more wood -- but damn, the guitarin' was pretty smokin'.
Just about killed myself over the weekend.
Had a heavy cabinet to move downstairs. No one available to assist so I moved it myself. Heavier than I thought... But I got it done on my own. There I take the time to both collect and direct myself, gathering inspiration and purpose for the day. I'm not always successful, but it's helpful when I am. To give yourself some internal time and space before giving it immediately to the external world. I could never do this. My body stands up and starts walking before I realise I'm awake. Everyday I stumble out of my room like a bomb blast survivor. Every night I must clear a path to the kettle because I will knock things over. I sometimes walk into walls when I'm staying somewhere else. |
