Even then, it is not necessary to condition it daily. When you do condition it, rinse it out with cooler water than what you started with. I'm not sure how to characterize my hair other than straight, going white and going missing. I don't think it is particularly oily but I'm not sure how I'd know if it was. My pillow isn't oily?
It would feel oily. Additionally, stay away from Pantene. It creates a wax buildup on the hair.
I would suggest that you invest in a shampoo that has some sort of peppermint and aloe in it for the flaking. Use that once or twice a week, in between your other shampoo. Pro tip: it's a good idea to switch up shampoos every once in a while (once a month) to remove any build up caused by the regular shampoo you use.
