Quote: Except for maybe Thomas Jefferson.
Except Jefferson was not one of the authors of the constitution. He was US Ambassador to France when the convention was held.
Too bad, really. He could only have helped.

Vote in ten days and let them know how you feel about it.

I plan on it, however it's all the conservative fucktards who live in my red state who will reelect Republicans to Congress.

I did this morning. That said, I live in a state that has voted Democratic in every election since 1992 and, indeed, many of the positions I had to vote (including my state representative) on didn't even have Republican candidates, so my vote may not have much effect.

This Could Be the Beginning of the End of the Supreme Court As We Know It
Hey, Jackasses, I can't believe we have to keep telling you this, but keeping the US economy from going literally bankrupt is not optional. Cooperation with the President over issues you admit are reasonable is not optional. Allowing one of the key branches of the Federal Government to survive is not optional. DOING THE JOB YOU SPENT SO MUCH TIME AND MONEY CAMPAIGNING TO GET IS. NOT. FUCKING. OPTIONAL.
I'm sorry for the extreme font sizes, but seriously, it was the only way to properly convey the rage I feel at this major problem.
Can we impeach them for failure to perform their sworn duty, or at least shoot them a little?
Just like in their right little toe or something.

I'm in the same boat. I'm thoroughly purple in terms of policy, Texas is quite red in its voting -- but even if it was a deep blue state, I'd still find my vote outweighed by folks with whom I have little agreement on many issues.
This is exactly why I'd like to see alternative parties strengthened. Min's right -- a key step is fielding credible candidates. As someone who leans libertarian, I've been dismayed by Johnson's behavior over the last six or so weeks; how much more so must be folks who still need to be convinced of the positions he holds before he earns their votes.
But I think the most vital step is for third parties to start getting local candidates elected in numbers, and from there gain note.
