I guess there are riot police blocking the protests here now... right next to me. Lovely. So much for civility.

I get the expression of raw emotion, shock, and anger. I won't be joining any, because I don't see the point.
The Evangelicals sold away every bit of integrity they had, and they doomed the GOP for it forever by legitimizing the white supremacist movement that is happening within Trump's supporters. I am most angry about that.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Oh, and now protests in our downtown section. We'll see how this goes. Survivor still on.

About the only valid reason I can see to go out and protest is that Hillary, Gary and Jill didn't receive participation trophies.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

As long as they're peaceful, I support them.
I have five daughters, and not one of them understand how a sexist racist bully could be elected President. They don't understand how we've not yet had a woman President, and they don't understand how people could have selected this bully. One of them said that even they know not to vote for a bully.
I'm glad to see some people are willing to protest the Presidency of a bully--so my children know that a lot of people don't support bullies. I think it's important for them to see that.
The whole tone of Church teaching in regard to woman is, to the last degree, contemptuous and degrading. - Elizabeth Cady Stanton
