Trump on 60 Minutes

Personally I think there should be a good balance, but I understand the perspective of others and it doesn't necessarily mean they're being anti Christian.

But we're talking about citizenship.  That's the government's responsibility.

Luke 3: 1-11 NIV Wrote:1 In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar—when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, Herod tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and Traconitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene— 2 during the high-priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness. 3 He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:

“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
   make straight paths for him.
5 Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
   the rough ways smooth.
6 And all people will see God’s salvation.’”[a]
7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

10 “What should we do then?” the crowd asked.

11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.

I'm sure someone will be around to tell me I'm taking that out of context....

What are you talking about? Both you and Chad have presented a "fuck 'em" attitude which goes against everything Jesus said about the poor.

Are you not Christians anymore?

You want to call me a hypocrite that's fine. I have a pretty good grip on my obligations as a Christian.

With respect to the fuck them comment do me a favor and tell me one sovergein nation that puts the needs of foreign nationals over the needs of its own people.

Stop with this stupid red herring. I'm pointing out what you professed Christians are espousing here.

My point is that Christians are perfectly happy to throw a biblical fit over gay marriage, but when it comes to helping the poor they have no problem with a "take it or leave it" stance on what the bible says. The point being that you're a hypocrite.

Aren't you the one saying that's exactly what we do?

And what needs are you referring to? The need to throw away 165 billion dollars of food a year?

Britain.

As someone who at one time thought of immigration to the UK, I recall that preference was given to former imperial colonies. But your point is well taken. That said I believe that do so based on the belief that all subjects benefit. They don't have the same degree of problems with drug cartels crossing over from neighboring states.

FNM, just to be clear, you do believe there should be a regulation with people from other countries moving here, right? You just don't think it should be as strict as Neo think it should be?

...Or are you saying there should be no limit or regulation whatsoever?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

It wouldn't surprise me.

There's a couple of "no borders" types on AF from what I have seen.

That's just totally unreasonable.
