Who else is going to see Rogue One, the next Star Wars movie soon?

Since Rogue One is opening on my birthday I gotta see it, plus I have always liked Star Wars. May be getting together with some friends to see it over the weekend. I feel there is always room for another SW story, with new plots and new characters. Keeps the franchise fresh I think.

He's such a horrible intellectual lightweight Especially jarring in Star Trek, where he simply disregarded (or probably didn't understand with his pea brain) what Star Trek is actually about. His nerd glasses don't fool me.

Oh... Star Trek went downhill way before J.J. came onboard... think Rick!

Could you honestly put Abrams on the level of big name directors of the past.

No.  He's not as bad as Micheal Bay, but he's certainly no Steven Spielberg.
I was not thrilled with what he did with the first Star TreK, however, I am not unhappy he rebooted it, because the 3rd one feels like it's getting back on track and I look forward to new ones under other directors.

Star Wars TFA has its problems (Hint: it wasn't the girl that was the main problem!), but I still enjoyed it WAAAY more than episodes I, II or even III. And I am also happy to see more new Star Wars stories.  At least it isn't the 3rd remake of Spider Man in a decade!  If they keep doing new and not remakes, I'm open to giving each one a chance.
