RE: Your favorite tv shows NOW vs. your favorite tv shows of all time

I don't get too crazy about most shows, but I've watched more this decade than any other. Highlander from the 90's was my favorite back then but it's aged so terribly I know I just keep watching it because I'm a fanboy and not because it's spectacular.
80's He-Man/She-Ra cartoon (laughably cheesy now)
90's Highlander and Animated X-Men
2000's up to current - LOST/GoT/BB
Close enough to a top 5 if cartoons are ignored.
Some shows I've watched and liked but they either fell apart after a couple seasons or I'm just a dirty casual viewer.

I'm not following any shows nowadays. I'm not sure when it happened -- possibly in the late '80s or early '90s -- or how it happened, but over time I've found it increasingly difficult to just sit still and watch things. I might watch a video once a year at home, and go to the movies once every 2 or 3 years.
I do have a few favourite shows from the past, though:
Max Headroom
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Red Dwarf
The Tick
Danger Mouse
Get Smart
Fawlty Towers
Star Trek - TOS
The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
and the 1960s Batman, especially now that I get all the jokes I missed when I was 9 years old.

Going in chronological order:
Loony Tunes/Merry Melodies
Gummi Bears
Tom and Jerry
Duck Tales
Pokemon. Mostly the first season.
Batman: The Animated Series
Animaniacs
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
Angel
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Swamp People
Bones
I can still recite a good bit of the Gummi Bears theme from memory, as well as Pokemon. Those are the ones that stick out most in my memory. I have been gravitating more towards live action as I grow older, but animation can still be good. Especially Japanese animation. I could probably think of other ones, but that's a good running list there.

I don't watch TV any more, but my all-time faves from when I did are "Barney Miller" and "Seinfeld".
