Although surrendering is not really isis' style.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

"Esteban Santiago?" One does not need to be Arabic to subscribe to specific religious idiocy.
There are also plenty of Pacific Islands that have Hispanic heritage and are being encroached upon by Islam.

Although surrendering is not really isis' style. Neither is the apparent silence with which he carried out the attack.
Hopefully this guy was just a psychotic who was impressed by the barbarity with which ISIS operates, and not their ideology. I'm not sure why.

Muslim is a religion, not a race. There's no reason why a Hispanic can't be muslim.

According to our news he carried an army ID, although they say to not know if he was still an active serviceman.

The shooter was born in New Jersey and was being treated for psychological issues, according to a news interview with his brother. Not yet revealed what set him off.
