What makes your faith true?
#31
RE: What makes your faith true?
I believe that Pennywise is the Eater of Worlds...and little chirren.
Number one, it's in the goddamned book...He SAYS he's the eater of worlds and children.
Plus...feelings. AND, Thangs, Stuff, Signs and shit. Frankly, that's enough for me.

Ugh...*shudder* Oh...But, how I wish it weren't so!

So, yeah...Keep dicking around, non-believers. You're gonna float.
You'll all FLOAT.

Because I say it is.  Cool

Well, an existent God (not conceding that BTW) would only make true one faith.

There is no way God would make Catholicism AND any specific and particular variety of Protestantism true at the same time, for instance.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

If Christians and Muslims are both having personal relationships "with God", then there must be more than one God I guess. Either that or it doesn't care what religion you are in, and just enjoys telling everyone different messages to cause confusion and wars.

Well, you'd have the God of The One True Faith and His followers, and everyone else would be licking Satan's butt hole.

That's how that plays out.

Guys, you're playing by the theists rules again...

Who said God must be exclusive to one religion?
Does McDonalds only sell one type of burger?
No, they cater to all...

The concept of god is so ludicrous that anything goes really...
What if god committed suicide billions of years ago? Like the V'ger in Star Trek.

Or what if god exploded himself so the BB can happen?
We know all the other man made texts aren't real...
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

God's not dead.

He's STILL tied up in my basement, eating me out of house and home.
Remember? One of you assholes was supposed to take him off my hands.

Seriously though, we know statistically that almost all theists are indoctrinated as children.
I would be genuinely interested to hear why an adult has turned to Christ.

Preferably one who is not undergoing personal hardships... Religion becomes a lot more attractive when you back's against the wall.

And don't forget the ones who received the indoctrination, subsequently 'lost faith' and then returned to believe in the manner to which they'd been indoctrinated.  That wouldn't be an actual instance of someone finding they had reason to believe who wasn't already inclined to.

Thena! I bet that dirty bastard asks you to wash his feet for him!

Naughty

Whatevs, yes, once you've drank the koolaid, you can never undrink it...
You can only give yourself daily doses of reality, but sometimes the call to home is overwhelming...
No God, No fear.

Religion 101, all other religions are false.
