There will be many legal challenges to his executive orders, but it's like dealing with an internet troll. It takes time to properly dismantle what they say and in the mean time they've gone off and said and done a multitude of other things. And in response they try again but using slightly different wording. The problem is that Trump is just moving too fast. And you'll know that he'll be putting the blame on anyone that stands in his way and his followers will believe him.

Protesting, if sufficient in numbers, always helped. It even helped during Hitler's reign. There was one incident where women protested their men being taken as captives and they managed to get them free. Bullies shy away from opposition.
