A question to all atheists!

Answer the hypothetical assuming time is interwoven in the natural world (space-time).

Or answer it assuming that time is independent of the natural world.

It doesn't matter to me, which is why I didn't explicitly mention time.

Maybe not expllcitely. You very much have to assume it for your words to make any sense.

OK, well, assume something and answer the question. WTF lol?

My point is that the question is not sensible either way.

I'd be interested in your reasons why. Tell me why the question is not sensible assuming space-time and tell me why the question is not sensible assuming that time is independent of the natural world.

EDIT: Please don't tell me that all you had in mind was arguing over semantics...

RE: A question to all atheists!
This question is a good illustration of the difference between arguments and evidence, and the importance of the latter over the former.

We have no experience of this scenario. We have no experience of "nothing". We cannot test it. We cannot observe it. We have no experience of such a transition. We have no evidence beyond what is stated in the hypothesis. So the answer is: we can't infer anything with any confidence. We can speculate, of course.

You can step in and make logical arguments for what you think will happen, based on further assumptions you make. But you have no way of knowing whether you're coming to correct conclusions, or just talking complete nonsense. Imposing assumptions on entirely unknown scenarios is rather pointless. And without them, all we can do is rephrase the scenario in tautological ways.

The problem is the concept of nothing is a self defeating concept. As soon as you imagine nothing, it becomes something.

I love how the noob totally avoided answering the hypothetical that LFC put out there. Dodgy

Difficult to answer.
Maybe, there has never been such a thing as absolute "nothing".
No God, No fear.

A valid answer, but boring.

Atheists could say "I don't know" about the question "Do deities exist?", but they instead choose to answer, "no" or "probably not" based on logic and contemporary evidence.

That's what I'm asking for now. I'm asking for everyone here to use logic and contemporary evidence to answer the question found in my original post. But if you still want to say "I don't know", then that's fine too.

You are putting words ideas in my head.
Do I believe in god?
No I do not.

That there is no evidence to support the idea of a "god" just supports my non-belief.
I wonder do you believe fairies exist?
If you don't believe that supernatural creatures unsupported by any evidence and are a bit silly exist, then you are being inconsistent in your stance.
There is as much evidence for fairies as there are for gods. I.E. Zip. and eople DO believe in fairies they do, they do.
Going by your logic you must believe that every stupid thing that idiots believe is a thing until given absolute evidence otherwise.

That's not how I roll bud.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
