Just a wild ass shot in the dark, that church doesn't actually do a thing....they simply refer the mother to programs which exist independent of their church, or any church.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
She's right. I also love this quote by Father James Martin, SJ
Quote:I am pro life. -
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

And for cute little pink caucasians the adoption market is just fine. But it isn't so hot if you are a minority. The trouble with churches is that one size does not fit all. Apparently she favors paying taxes to support this effort. Tax money that goes to the poor is basically a government sanctioned charity. I agree that these taxes are necessary because a lot of people don't do their part in helping those in need. But ideally help for these people would come strictly from charities, and not from the government. We only need those types of taxes in place because it wouldn't be enough otherwise. The general Christian principle is that people give at least 10% of their earnings for the needy once their own basic needs are met. If everyone did this, I doubt we'd need the government to have to force it. Anyway, my point is it is true that we as a Church don't pay taxes. But we do and give A LOT to help the poor and needy as it is. Likewise, if a person gives a lot to charitable causes, their taxes get reduced because they are already doing their part in helping society. It's a bit unfair to insinuate that it's hypocritical for a Catholic to support using tax money to help the needy.

Nope being anti abortion is the very opposite to being pro social .It's suppoting the blantant violation of a womans body and would no diffrent then me forcing an organ trasplant or a blood transfusion or the absurd medevil belief that raping a virgin would cure one of fatal dieses. And no it's intention or lack of are on the part of the fetus is a none issue. It's mere presence is a violation .Regadless of weather she choose to have sex or not she choose sex not pregenecy .And such condition should not be used as social control .And yes abortion is taking responsibilty so pro choicers can drop that nonsense . As for the argument of defeding somthing defensless .We kill defenseless things all the time. As for it being human thus an exception we allow for the killing of the defenseless humans as well. Oh and lastly the argument it had unique DNA proves it's a foreign enitity within a womans body . And the argument for brain activity shows the same . As does the arument from completness .even if it true undermines the Anti abortion argument not strengthens it.
We have already gone dubious claim of Church" charity " and "helping the poor" and no ideally the church should be cut out altogether and replaced with government programs . And it can't be force if you by default agreed to pay.

Not to mention the fact that adoption can be incredibly harmful to all parties involved .And I find it funny how a woman who takes responsibility and goes through the unpleasantness of an abortion is depicted as selfish and lazy. While woman who offload there children on to other people are made saints by the same people.
