To all believers: Do you believe in miracles?

2. People who claim of miracles (lol like myself) are 1 of 3 things either they are mad, lying or telling the truth.

1. Why was she made to suffer for 8 years? Could she not have been cured earlier? OR has god got a waiting list for treatment?

2. is there not a 4th category of people just plain getting in wrong and seeing miracles where there is none? People often claim things are miracles when there is a perfectly either natural or medical reason for their recovery.

And as has been mentioned why does god never perform miracles like regrowing limbs? And why do some very religious people still get ill and die? Can he not do anything for them or is he choosing not to? Is there an amount of people that have to pray to get treatment? None of it holds up fella.

Surely it would have been noted by another civilisation on the earth at the time, I think anyone that witnessed that would see the importance in mentioning that.
This was done in front of a group of polytheists who were rejecting Muhammad as a Prophet. Maybe the splitting of the moon happened for a brief moment and recombined again. That's why not too many people saw it happening. In the Quran, it says, "The hour is near and the moon is cleft asunder. But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, 'Oh, this is but a transient magic'" (Chapter 54, verses 1-2). Nevertheless, you're probably not going to believe this either.

No, I don't believe in superstitious things. I don't believe in psychics, astrology, mind control, nor any of that stuff. I only believe in the miracles that were done by the Prophets.

No it doesn't. For me, this is just a matter of faith.
Believers will say that these are true. And disbelievers will say that these are only fairy tales.

But God is the Law Maker. So, He can change the laws in certain parts of the universe if He wants to.

Why doesn't God show us miracles anymore? I don't know why, but if he did, then faith wouldn't be faith anymore. Or maybe He gave us advanced technology so that we could look far into the universe and inside our own bodies and thereby find clues of His existence (which is already almost everywhere).

Presupposing God exists as defined as the creator of the universe he would
A) be more powerful or complex then the sum of his creation therefore all powerful in relation within this universe
B) If he created something from nothing his power obviously has the ability to manifest physically.
Miracles are perfectly reasonable using the above rationale. Of course those are some mighty big presuppositions and would require just as substantial evidence. But while none of this speaks of it's truth I wouldn't say it were irrational. Perhaps a solely materialistic view might see anything insubstantial, even in probability, as irrational because what's rational is what's real to them and what's real is only what they can see, taste, touch or hear.
Yup and thats your problem right there, you have ontologically defined god into exstence, and unsurprisingly the god concept you have hit upon has the exact attributes you need to prove your point. Need much, much more than that. All of this paper excercise to write god into existence, still can't get to god and even if it could it wouldn't get to a personal god who intervenes.

I once saw something out of the corner of my eye. Does that count?

Quote:Lets discus miracles here! Every religion has its own nutty miracles so don't be shy... For example, muslims believe that muhammed split the moon into two pieces!?! Anyway, here we can discus that did miracles really occured?? Did jeusus really turned the water into wine? And what about now? Do miracles happen and save the day? When you see a surviver from a plane crash do you believe that it was a miracle? Do you believe that one surviver saved by some divine power?

Just because I have never seen the North Pole doesnt mean it does not exist.

I believe very much so in miracles, although they are very rare...
Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.

You dont hate God, you hate the church game.

So rare that they can't be proved?

Yes, but you can see the North Pole, visit it, etc. It's very much something that's real and defined. There IS a north pole.

Also, your reply is kind of a tangent from the original post / what you quoted. He never said anything about "not seeing miracles" so I'm not sure why you replied with what you said.

Could you also give me an example of what you consider a "miracle?" Do not quote a bible, I mean like, something you'd see while walking down the street, in today's times, etc.
I like the way you think!
...But please stop thinking, it's not you.

Just because I've never seen an amputee grow a limb back doesn't mean that it hasn't happen......

Oh. It hasn't!
