Sounds as though, in a roundabout way, the number of the beast did contribute to her demise...

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

My guess is that if the correct tip amount had been $5.66 and you added a buck there would have been no problem.

Possibly, but counting on my neighbors to be irrational is pretty much money in the bank.  Tongue

I wouldn't care at all about either of those things.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Nope, $1.50. Yeah, I know, they only look silver.

The ex-wife's family is cray over shit like this. Her grandmother made the phone company give them a new number when assigned a 666 prefix. Reason? Satan, of course.

My grandmother mentioned it, and I had to tell her 06.06.06 is not the number of the beast, and the year 666 came and went a very long time ago. It's kind of funny, though a little sad too. I know numbers play a big part in religion, but it's still kind of silly.

There were people who thought the Great Fire of London was the first sign of the apocalypse, simply because of the year. On the other hand there were others who though it was the first act if Yeshua and his host of angels in dragging the heretic protestants down to hell.
