I'm real close to 60, and when I let people know, I sure get some surprised reactions. Either everybody is just really really nice, or I look/act considerably younger.
And I'm terrible at guessing ages of others. I don't even try after the infamous "Oh, is that your granddaughter?" incident (no, it was her kid and her oldest child at the time was in grade school)
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I jumped down from a small height yesterday. Near killed myself. I didn't realize I was so old.

I perceive age .. pretty much like everything else .. by way of my diminished eye sight and hearing with almost no input from my worthless nose. T'wasn't always so.

Was cutting cedar trees yesterday. One thing about being older, I do find myself trying to work smarter, not harder. Might take longer to whack off half the branches on a tree so I can get at the base easier, but getting at the base easier is getting more important to me. And a good thing about the pre-cutting; taking all the big branches off one side allows the tree to fall over in the desired direction every time.

People tend to think that I am at least ten years younger than I am. Harry S. Truman was president when I was born. I know I'm old because I wear orthotic supports in my shoes and still have trouble walking long distances. Also, I'll be having ameliorative surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists in the course of the next couple of months.
I can usually judge a person's age within a few years. That said, I saw a surgeon last year who looked young enough to be my grand daughter (if I had one).

Appearance, comportment, fashion, sure, those all factor into any judgement I make on age.
When I shave, people think I'm in my 30s. My hip thinks I'm in my late 60s. My brain thinks I'm 14.

Exactly that. I have no trouble convincing myself I'm 25, but this old bastard keeps peering out of mirrors at me.
