I'm interested but I don't know about paying $5.99 a month for CBS All Access when I'm not interested in any other CBS shows.

You can always wait until the day after the final episode of the season has aired then binge the whole thing on a one-week free trial. The pilot will air on CBS broadcast and will probably be enough to tell you if it's worth at least one month.

Yeah I can do that. I've seen very nearly every episode and every movie for every Star Trek.
It'll be on Netflix too! That's where I'll be watching it at least.

Why do technologies from 10 years before Kirk and Spock look like they are slicker by 50 more years?
TOS had shit for a budget, that's why.

Given the shows problems, first the walking away of its creator, then the scheduling delays (even as recently as last May this was supposed to be a Spring show), hiring of Akiva Goldsman, &c; being wildly optimistic I'm barely hopeful it it'll reach the quality of Dear Doctor, aka The Episode That Nearly Killed The Franchise. Edit: and the fact that CBS are only willing to only put it on their piss-poor and nigh on jnvisible streaming service doesn't bode well either.

Pretty much every CBS show is awful so I don't see what would be different about this one.
