Think about a non abrahamic religion you heard about the first time as an adult.   How many thoughts and how much effort did you spend on it before you knew about it?  

I would gladly never talk about anyones religious beliefs if they stopped bringing it up.

One thing I have noticed from hanging out here for a while, and the atheist friends I have in the real world is that they have their minds made up and there is no further room for debate. Atheists often tend to give their trust to authority figures in the mainstream media and Science, which to an extent is fine, but when you question their authority figures, they act like religious people. It usually happens at a young age, so now that they are adults, they still can't get past it while the rest of us have moved forward and now crop dusting those behind us.

This is as fine an example of projection as I have seen, In fact it's almost to perfect to be accidental, but we won't go into that. Now regarding the highlight; I don't suppose you've considered for a Plank second that possibly, just possibly, your atheist pals are bored shitless listening to your drivel? I imagine they find you a great source of entertainment, you are being tolerated nothing more. Now let me speak on their behalf and say, when you bring something 'new' to ponder then we will have a look and a think. Not since Thomas Aquinas has anyone produced any new 'reasoning' for the existence of god. Tommy's proposals were pretty crappy anyway, they might have made sense eight hundred years ago but now we can see his arguments for what they are. Shite.

Criticizing beliefs . . .


well, in a faith such as LDS, where they worship a god who revises every single revelation he makes, most more than once, and then the church hierarchy displays extreme sensitivity on the changes (denying anything was ever changed until confronted with their own publications showing very different versions of the revelations) it is difficult to let such chicanery, fraud, malfeasance, and connivance pass without comment.
