4. How did animal X get from point Y to point Z after the great flood?
"Penguins and kangaroos and a whole laundry list of other regionally specific species, did not migrate from a mountain in the ancient Arabian region to their current location. Even if the bible said they did, which it doesn't, it still would be an utterly insane proposition to put forward"
---------
You're right 'the bible doesn't say penguins migrated'.  The principle of conservation or limitation in God's acts of judgement clearly applies to the Genesis flood. It means if humans hadn't spread to Antarctica penguins wouldn't be onboard the ark. The flood was 'global' to the human community, not the physical. God on the 3'rd day (one meaning of 'day' is a long but finite period of time), set a water boundary - it's explicitly stated that never again from the time God raised up continents and sent the oceans to their place, would water cover all the land. The flood was localized to the Mesopotamian plain.

That makes it verifiable, and falsifiable.  Do you have a particular flood, in the geological record, limited to the mesopotamian plain..in mind?
(a map of what you're referring to as the mesopotamian plain would help..it would almost invariably be included in any assessment of some ancient flood)

Suffering isn't bad if it leads to something good. People voluntarily take on suffering all the time. In this case, temporary suffering provides a deeper relationship with God, and that is eternal.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that God deals in eternal suffering as well as eternal reward. How is suffering in hell good? If you're a universalist, I withdraw the question.

I'm sure there is a large section in heaven, bleachers if you will, where there is a good view of the depredations of hell.

It would have to be a popular venue for entertainment. Doling out inequity and the wages of sin. Just fulfilling the contract.

No schadenfreude, of course.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I've read through your post and a few post responding to this post and I'm not going to read through all 16 pages, forgive me if I repeat things already stated.

First you call religions philosophy and I can agree to that to a certain extent. However the Christians and Jews who worship the same God do not have a philosophy we have a living relationship with our living God and no I can't give you the proof you want to convince you He's real. On the other hand you can't prove He doesn't exist so your idea of Christianity being a philosophy holds no water.

Second you say Christians cherry pick and many do to support their own beliefs and that's wrong, I do not do that, when someone shows me I'm wrong I study the Bible to find out the truth. I can't call you a cherry picker because you do not even use Bible verses to support your opinions. Since you are condemning the Bible you could show the Bible verses you have problems with, instead you rattle off opinions as if they were proof, shame. If you're going to condemn the Bible you should by necessity use the Bible. An example is your opinion that God called for parents to kill their unruly children, you gave no proof of what you said and I know of no verse that says this. You didn't even give a criteria of what children are. So again you fail at trying to run down the Bible.

You say the literal interpretation of the Bible limits those Christians who believe the Bible is wholly true. You are wrong we are the ones who can best give a defense for our beliefs. Such as, Christians that do not believe in the Genesis account of creation have a more difficult time of a presenting the gospel of Jesus, why, because Jesus himself believed the account, Jesus the Son of God was the creator and all three parts of the trinity were involved in the creation.

You have an opinion and that's all it is that God can't be omnipotent and not lie, I find this highly unusual. What does omnipotence and lying even have in common, being all powerful has nothing to do with being immoral. God said He doesn't lie, why, because it is outside of who He is, this means it's impossible for Him to lie, not because He isn't omnipotent but just the opposite, His omnipotence want allow Him to lie. You need to discover what God's "omnis" are all about. Can you tell me what omnipresent means as pertaining to God?

I'm going to stop here, if you wish we can deal with your points one at a time, I do not desire to write pages in response to your OP.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

New name, same silly arguments.

Hey, here's one, how about all those verses proclaiming jesus the christ, and insisting that such a thing as vicarious redemption is the righteous creators path to salvation?  I've got a problem with killing the better man to pay for my parking tickets.

I think that the poster was implying that it limited you to spouting off inanities and other assorted mental detritus, whereas a person who is not a biblical literalist is under no such obligation.  Their faith does not -have- to conflict with reality, for example..the way that yours does.

God must use a different word for the bullshit he tells you. Figures that christer god would be as bad at words as literalist christers.

LMAO, god is omniscient and omnipresent, and yet didn't know the serpent was down there tempting Eve (although it's pretty obvious he intended for that to happen 'cause he's a dick) or that he needed to send angels down to Sodom because he didn't realize people were butt-fucking there. Do you even fucking hear yourself?
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

Suppose you had to kill your son to save your wife.  When you got married you took a vow to foresake all others.  You never took such a vow for your son.  So were you just lying when you pledged to foresake all others for your wife?

You are still ridiculous as you have ever been, if you don't understand the intentions of the marriage vows then you should just leave them out of conversations. You also must have a different version of the Bible than Christians around the world because the one we use says nothing like what you're describing about Abraham. You sir are just throwing around unfounded statements to try and prove a point and all the Christians here understand that weakness in you. You might fool some of the atheist here but I doubt you can foll all of them to many here are smart than that even if they do not want to admit it. I do think it's sad when those who know better than to believe such blatant falsehoods agree with you or others, it's just sad to see people throw away their intellect.

Put your fucking money where your mouth is then, neanderthal. Show that the passage in whatever bible being referenced is either different enough from 'yours' that it can't possibly be interpreted the same way, or that it's not there at all between the surrounding passages, or shut the fuck up. And don't you fucking dare accuse others of throwing away their intellect, jackass. That's clearly not the only thing you've thrown away, honesty and integrity among the lot.

About this relationship thing...

We know that your god is pretty strict on the 'no other gods' bit, but does it bother you that the god is seeing other worshippers behind your back? If it's an open kind of relationship, why can't you see other gods - like on a break or something?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
