LET IT BE KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE LANDS, I, wallym, with an opinion that is sure to rock the very foundation of society as we know it, stand AGAINST people purposely murdering pedestrians with vans!  It is a brave stance, and one that will surely come at great personal cost.  I am also against children having cancer, and burning down orphanages.  I don't care what anyone says, that's just how I feel.

You honestly never crossed my mind when I made this comment.

It is odd how if a mulim does something, some people are right on it, and if not, then not. You arent one of those people. As do most people, I suspect. Some might condem it personally, but are less vocal about it when it isn't a muslim perp, which seems puzzling. Again, not you.

Personally, I'm with you, I condem it no matter who commits the act. There are a lot of innocents being harmed over something they aren't at all involved in. Poor London seems to be a hot spot, lately.

I wasn't saying it about me specifically, was just trying to be funny.  I just always got a kick out of when Obama (or any world leader) would come out after a terrorist attack, like in Paris, and condemn it.  As if this were like wrestling, and the President coming out and smashing the french ambassador from behind with a chair, and announcing the US is forming a Tag Team with ISIS was a real possibility, so we all have to hold our breath to make sure Obama was still one of the good guys. "Oh, he condemned it. Thank God. Was worried he was finally going to turn heel."

I would say on the comment side, there just isn't much to say about this one.  Shitty guy tries to kill Muslims.  That sucks.  There's not really much to discuss, unless somebody is on the side of the shitty guy.  With muslim attacks, there's the issue of immigration, religion, cultural acclimation, foreign policy, etc...

I think the cut and dry things like this are tougher to have a conversation about, because almost everybody is in agreement.

This guy just killed and injured innocent people.  If we want to hit back at terrorists we have to relentlessly pursue them at their source.  That means continually hitting ISIS groups wherever we find them in the world and don't give them a chance to breathe.  This is something that should bind the nations together in common interest.

The dates'd be most likely the other way round. Most of the liberalism in islam came from before the Mongol invasions, not after. If you ever see a liberal mislim they're either out and ot secular or hewing to older traditions.

wouldn't be as snarky if written that way though . . .
