Georgia's 6th Congressional District Election

No democratic  presidential candidate has won that Georgia district since Jimmy Carter. The fact that Ossoff didn't live in that district and the fact that the huge amount of his campaign donations poured in from California and Hollywood didn't help him either. The Dems lost their largest voting base in the general election. The far left rioting on campuses and the media's constant attacks on Trump, the continual investigations, and the Dems are still losing elections. Go figure. Blame Trump all you want. It's the Dems who continue to fuck up and lose.

Stupid is as stupid does..

It took hundreds of millions of years for life to develop out of the primordial ooze.  I didn't expect a rise in IQ's over the past 5 months.

You keep spouting that Dems lost their largest voting base, but my Midwestern rural neighbors have always been mindless uneducated FOX news consumers since its inception.  My grandfather was a farm-bill subsidy loving dairy farmer who ran for state assembly as a Republican.  He had a picture of Richard fucking Nixon on his wall until it was replaced by a picture of Reagan.  In the sticks, they have always voted Republican around here.    By all means, keep wishfully believing that there was some huge meteoric shift is voting habits if it helps you sleep at night.  Lower voter turnout got Trump the election, and he lost the popular vote.

Rural conservatives will keep voting Republican until the pellet from the feeder bar stops showing up.  Your god doesn't do a good job of putting food on the table or money in the account (unless your a TV evangelist praying off the hopeless and dumb).  Once the economy turns to shit, a few switch for an election or two out of self preservation.  When the economy gets better, they'll revert back to their conservative Christian value vote (what a farce).

All in all..  Nothing to see here..  Everything is as expected..  The only news here was that the vote was relatively close.

This is precisely too true, and I cannot understand why the average voter has such a difficult time understanding it.

When a Republican is in office, the economy always goes to shit. When it's time for a new election, the people momentarily wise up and elect a Democrat who always fixes the economy. Then it's back to making 'Murica shittier when the next Republican is elected because people simply do not learn anything.

I fear that if this political waffling with our economy persists, there will be no recovering from the damage Republicans inflict.

Democrats continue to lose in Republican strongholds. Who knew? But they have made gains that would translate into wins in competitive districts.

I'm aghast at some of the characterizations I'm reading regarding Ossoff's loss. Did he run a taut, efficient and focused campaign, or was it more of an orgy of let's see how much money we can throw at this and see what happens like November 8th never happened??

How many times does someone have to stick their tongue in a live light socket to get a clue ?? Hard to imagine, but some people figure it out with zero tries, others, well, we don't know the total yet, but it's already painfully high.

It was an odd choice by the left to frame this as a Referendum on Trump'ism, when it was likely that the republican was going to win, resulting in a win for Trump according to them, even though the election probably wasn't really about him.

Only Asshole and the reprobates like him his could delude themselves that the media reporting Trumps incompetents  and investaging his campiages suspicious activities . Is blaming Trump for election loses . Whatever help you sleep at night that to win you had to make Faustian bargain of having a lying incoherent cartoon character in charge . losing elections is a small sting compared to that pact.
