Id losing elections is a small sting compared to that pact.

Well said.
I'm assuming, sarcasm? Otherwise, how the fuck were you able to understand any that jibberish? Canada must have one fucked up public educational system.

Democrats thought they could capitalize on the president's low job approval ratings. That didn't turn out the way the Dems wanted. Congress's job approval ratings are even lower than the president's. No democratic  presidential candidate has won that Georgia district since Jimmy Carter. The fact that Ossoff didn't live in that district and the fact that the huge amount of his campaign donations poured in from California and Hollywood didn't help him either. The Dems lost their largest voting base in the general election. The far left rioting on campuses and the media's constant attacks on Trump, the continual investigations, and the Dems are still losing elections. Go figure. Blame Trump all you want. It's the Dems who continue to fuck up and lose.

Democrats continue to lose in Republican strongholds. Who knew? But they have made gains that would translate into wins in competitive districts.

Democrats also lost in once Democrat strongholds too. Who would have figured that? They lost Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania. They lost their once largest and loyal voting base, the white blue collar working class in the rust belt and coal states. Some of these hadn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate in better than thirty years. You don't win elections by marginalizing and disregarding your largest voting base. The dems were confident that they could take the seat in Georgia that was long by held by Republicans. This was to be their referendum against President Trump. This was supposed to set the pace for the 2018 midterms. They invested millions of dollars into this election and they still lost, and they continue to lose. The radical left with their violent campus riots, the dems in Washington calling for Trump's impeachment, their continual investigations into Trump that has so far netted no results of any wrong doing, the leftwing media constantly attacking Trump, none of this is doing the dems any good. It's all backfired. Anti Trump rhetoric is all the message dems have and it's going to cost them more elections. You can blame and attack the electorate all you want for not voting the way you want them to, the dems will lose again in 2018.

It's almost like you're talking about before November and everyone else is talking about after. The special elections since November have been in Republican strongholds, and the Republicans are barely holding onto them. Ossoff came almost 20 points closer to beating the Republican in Georgia than the previous Democratic candidate for that district. If half the Dems next year who are running in competitive districts get half that bump, they'll take back both houses.

This is an example of Democrat hand-wringing over the slightest setback and Republican overconfidence, not a predictor that Dems will not take seats next year. They only need a few in the Senate to get back their majority.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
