Are you Catholic? That sounds like some good old fashioned Catholic guilt to me!!
To me it sounds like you're all talk and no action. If you knew you could save one person from hell for each finger and toe you cut off, how many would you cut off?

How many have you? coz' posting here is clearly not working. If god wants me he can have me, and surely he knows how, yet...silence.
I accept that you believe, so why is your god so feeble in convincing me? I thought he could do anything.

I probably wouldn't cut any off. Possibly I'd be brave enough to cut off a pinkie, but after that it would probably be over. She is even ready to suffer torment forever and ever in hell so that someone else would not have to. He's there if you truly want him. The problem is you must be willing to do it his way. That's the hard part.

As I told my dad this month. I'd rather spend eternal torment in hell, than eternity in heaven at the expense of those in hell. Their laments and suffering could never leave my ears otherwise, which in my eyes makes me akin to being morally superior to god.
Big words, but if you cared that much about people you would be giving everything you have to help those in need.
This guy is now absolutely, out-and-out taking the piss.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Why would I want to do it the hard way, God can make it easy.

You just confirmed what I said. It's not easy to follow him, so you don't want to.

Sooo.. just so I'm clear, you are not the GC I was talking to in the link?
As per your signature, if you love believers and non believers alike, how are you ok with me and any non believers you know including suicide victims, being sent to eternal hell of fiery torment? Or do you disagree with the type of hell, the bible depicts that I showed bible verses in the positive for the hell of eternal painful torment in fiery brimstone punishment?
Christians who commit suicide want go to hell, those who are not Christians will. I do not like the thought of anyone going to hell, that's why I'm here. I believe though its not by necessity true that hell is a place that is dark where no one will be able to see each other and the torment will be living in a hatred unimaginable. Living in life of complete separation from God. People will be able to hear others there but never see them. I do not think there will be fire and brimstone, I believe that was the best description God could give us that we could relate to the unimaginable terror of hell. This is why I'm here in hopes someone will listen.

Hell is eternal in Islam; it's temporary in the biblical fairy tale.
I couldn't care less what Islam teaches except for the fact it misleads people from the truth. You need to read the scriptures and find what they say about hell, an eternal paradise has to have a counter and that's an eternal hell. I'm finished arguing this point with you because you know better or your just plain dumb.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

So is GC godschild? I'm confused. Answer forthcoming but if I've had this convo with you before I know your answer already and it's pointless to converse with someone unwilling to accept the worst parts of their religion because.. feelings.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Most of us have already heard it all.

It's funny how you can take this attitude with other religions, but you can't seem to understand when others take the exact same attitude with yours.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

Nope. God loves me, God wants me to know him yet he won't make it easy?
I have 2 daughters. I love them, I want them to know me. I will make it as easy as possible to know me.
I have the added bonus of actually existing and actually loving them.
