How do religious people react to their own arguments?

RE: How do religious people react to their own arguments?
Once again GC fails the critical self-examination and reflection test. No surprises there.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

SO many interpretations of the book of Revelations.  It's really too bad that the whole piece reads like it came from a bronze-age shaman hopped up to the gills on some really, really potent 'shrooms.  (Yes, I've read it, many times - it was my Mothers' favorite book.)  I rather prefer the Revelations take that many scholars follow (although how one can come to any conclusions about a confused description of a really bad LSD trip is almost as mind-boggling as the book) - - that it was written before 70 "AD" and predicted the fall of Jerusalem. The dragon, and all the evil, is descriptive of the Roman empire.   But, of course, the fact that absolutely nobody on the planet can actually say what this work of drivel MEANS proves to me that it doesn't mean ANYTHING of ANY IMPORTANCE other than it's moronic drivel, and there is certainly no deity involved.

Since you had nothing noteworthy to say I'll say this, nothing, it makes as much sense as what you said.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

According to the fairy tale in Revelation chapter 16 when Yeshua returns even the Pope and all of the Bible thumpers as well as everyone else will curse him. Essentially he will be pure evil.

Please read a book about psychology that emphasizes projections of one's own faults onto others. Please.

I mean, this is weapons-grade irony here.

Liar! Do you really want to make yourself look dumb again, if you were reading a fictional novel you wouldn't assume things the way you do with the Bible, unless you're really as dumb as you're acting. Challenge me on the Bible and i will show you how biblically illiterate you are.

Wow, you couldn't even come up with sources for a competing interpretation? 5 minutes with a Google search would have given you a dozen that you could have thrown back at me, complete with proper sources.  And the only thing you come up with is a wave of the hand and a dismissal?  I'm SO impressed by your tunnel vision buried in concrete biblical knowledge, it's SO compelling.

Why does the bible go into such hideous detail with regard to the sacrifice of a castrated bull?
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

In case you don't have an actual Bible you can read 5 versions of Revelation chapter 16 at this link = https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se...EV;NLT;GNV

Didn't you promise not to respond to my comments in one of your earlier rants?  In the old days people had duels when one guy called another one a liar.  So if all of those calamities fell on you are you saying you wouldn't curse Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews and the God of the armies for inflcting them on you?  How many 100 pound hail stones can you dodge?

Quote:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Rev 16

I guess this is what you are guys are talking about.  Seems like the demented ravings of a fucking lunatic no matter how you look at it.

Good enough for jesus freaks, I suppose.
