I trust him.... just as much as everyone else in DC for the past 40+ years.

To paraphrase Zaphod Beeblebrox, I wouldn't trust a Trump appointee as far as I could comfortably spit a rat.  And...

Quote:even going so far as to say that we would "cooperate" in the future, in cybersecurity.
Cooperating with Russians on cybersecurity is rather like cooperating with the arsonist by showing him where you keep all of your flammables, paraffin, and matches.

I'm starting to think if I was Putin, and I definitely had a preference for one US presidential candidate over the other (something I don't think is yet proven, BTW) and it could not be guaranteed that my support for that candidate would remain secret (and therefore worthwhile for me to do) I might assume that my support would in fact be revealed (and if it wasn't, I would see to it that it was) and I would therefore support the other candidate.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

...or, on the other hand, I'd play my hand, and if discovered, would use that to draw the President I helped to elect closer into my orbit for his fear of my spilling the beans ...
