To be fair, St. Catherine of Siena claimed to be married to Christ, and he even used his foreskin as the wedding ring. It wound up being a surprisingly popular subject in art for a while, and, if I'm interpreting the Bergognone painting at the top of the page accurately, it even has St. Catherine married to another St. Catherine who was said to have a similar experience, and inspired the younger Catherine to pray to have a similar experience until, aged 21, she finally did.
