I actually just realized Doctor Who and doctor strange are entirely different people. I was glad as long as somebody replaced Cumberbatch because I really didn't like him as Strange but I mixed up the two characters and got excited for no reason 
You'd have thought that since the industry is nepotistic as fuck, and Cumberbatch is on the tail end of being everyone's j/o buddy (not to mention the whole WhoLock thing), they'd have cast him. Maybe if he'd been a woman they would have done.

Cumberbatch was really good with the sherlock series but the last movie I liked that he did was the imitation game that was a nice movie...where he again plays the role of an arrogant prick genius.. Gets old after a while and his performance in the strange movie as well as the movie itself was really just.... Mediocre..
I was not particularly a fan of the Doctor Strange movie.
Everyone else loved it, but I was like, "Meh."

Maybe if he'd been a woman they would have done. I don't think Cumberbatch wants to be The Doctor. He was offered the role IIRC, and he turned it down. I think he doesn't have time for the role.

Poor casting choice imo I always wondered who would've been a better lead for dr strange I bet the role is actually better suited for an actress. The whole magical mystical gymnastic thingy a flexible sexy actress in a cool costume could've done wonders with it.. Instead they went with a cumberbatch with facial hair that looked like pubic hair glued to his face whose acting was not at all fluidy..actually kind of sturdy and not at all confident with a superhero role and a movie that felt forced.. It was like they wanted to make something different but the meal sucked so they just added lots of sugar and called it dessert..
