Unfortunately marriage used to be much more political than anything else. Still is in some places. What's love got to do with it? Just a second-hand emotion.~

In the case of the jewish stuff it is much simpler. They raised sheep and goats. Sheep and goats require less water than pigs which makes them better suited to the arid climate of the southern state of "Judah." Politically, the more temperate climates of their neighbors in the north and on the coast allowed the states of Aram-Damascus and Philistia on the coast to raise pigs. Nothing in that fucking bible should be taken at face value. It is all a pile of shit.
