The Next War in the Middle East

RE: The Next War in the Middle East
Yep. Just the more unappealing of one of the sides of the same delusional theistic coin.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

---

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

That's a shock, giving all your cheering for him before the election.

Wrong again. No cheering on my end. Never liked him, never will.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

'Twas ever thus. The only difference is that the party in power was stupid enough to nominate a guy who is literally too dense to understand the ideas of "putting on appearances" or "optics".

Make no mistake, every cocksucker in the Oval Office going back at least to Coolidge -- and there are more than a few who predate him too -- every asshole in there has swung on the strings held by the the business/wealthy class.

Plantations in Nicaragua? Check. Oil in Iran? Check. Sugar in Cuba? Yep, you guessed it: Check. Chilean phosphates for the bombs we dropped on Vietnam? Mmhmm.

I haven't. I'll search it out. I am somewhat skeptical of his objectivity from his works I have seen, but I've got no problem even if he's a firebrand about ... knowing what I do know about our history, of course.

Thanks for the tip. I'll DL it this next week.

Yup. I would think that NOKO is our most immediate concern at the moment. But that's not to say that those concerns won't change given the continual instability in the Middle East, especially where Iran is concerned. But, yeah. I think NOKO is our biggest worry right now.
