The only thing I wanna do is go the distance, that's all. Nobody's ever gone fifteen rounds with Dropship.
If I go them fifteen rounds, an' that bell rings an' I'm still standin', I'm gonna know then I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood"...

How so? Would you kindly link to that post?

That's right, you cannot, because it doesn't exist. I've just looked back over this thread and no, I didn't throw "the first punch". Nice to know that your faith doesn't keep you from being a little cunt who will deploy the occasional lie rather than own his own behavior.

Fuck off and die.

Here's what you said in post #22 about abortion mate-
"...anyone seeking to outlaw it is trying to control what they think is the morality of others, rather than paying attention to their own. In the words of many of the same opponents, it's "virtue-signalling".

See, because I'm anti-abortion you threw a flurry of punches at me (and other anti-abortionists) suggesting wer're trying to control others and that I was "virtue signalling".
In other words, you called me out, so I called you out..Smile

The soul is conveyed via the breath and ensoulment of the fetus occurs at birth with that first breath.
Godseddso. . . . .

Which bible verses say that mate? we need to look at them in context..Smile

Yes, because that's the equivalent of insinuating I was okay with my child being aborted. Oh, that's right -- you worship a guy who thinks using his name wrong is the same thing as murder. No wonder you're morally stultified.

You are virtue signalling, and you're trying to do that here ... except that you've already shown your true colors. You're unworthy of any further consideration so far as I am concerned, and I won't be wasting any more time on your posts.

Wait! I've logged back in to apologise for being too rough on you..Smile
Like I said before, nobody knows at what point a fetus becomes a human life, so maybe abortion is ok, or maybe it's not, who's to say?
PS- what guy thinks using his name wrong is the same as murder? I don't follow.
PS again- Virtue-signallers like to pretend to the world how good they are.
I've already said in AF that I was expelled from school, and that I'm an ex-convict, and that I've been with prostitutes, so I don't see any virtue-signalling there..Smile

Just to digress slightly, this English council smashed seagull eggs a couple of years ago, what do AF members think about it?

Dropship:

is this the right site for you to be posting on ??

The characteristics and properties of immortal souls are usually and universally (AFAIK) a Sunday School 101 thing. Although I have to admit my assuming Sunday School 101 items as being universal amongst believers has been SORELY TESTED here.

SORELY TESTED indeed.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

1- Well this is the Religious section, and this thread asks about religion, so as a holy man I thought I'd better step up to the plate to tend peoples spiritual welfare..Smile

2- What's 101? Never heard of it!
Anyway just google 'religion and abortion' and you'll see nobody knows if it's a good or bad thing like I said before.
The consensus among most Christian denominations is that abortion "might" be okay if continuing the pregnancy would harm the mothers health, or if scans show the baby would be born badly handicapped.
PS- I gave the medics permission to switch off my elderly mother and let her die when she went braindead with thyroid complications 18 years ago, no doubt some fundies would say I committed the sin of "Thou shalt not kill", but I don't give a rat's arse what fundies say..Smile

RE: Why is religion in the business of moral policing?
When you behave selectively about how to parse logic and reason, when you coincidentally happen to get something right, it's not really for the right reasons, is it? No more than just hitting the right part of a dartboard by pure luck. If you're not going to base a worldview on reality then why bother co-opting rationality?
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

---

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.
