Jews are Dangerous Because People Want to Kill Them

In a truly disturbing decision, a local government in Australia has denied the request to build a synagogue because it would be the target of terrorism by Islamists: Here
So basically, like the title of my thread says the decision basically boils down to the idea that Jews are a threat to their communities because some other people hate them.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, after having read the story...and suggest that there was more to the residents of Bondi shooting down a temple than capitulation to islamic terrorism, lol.

If that's the case, then the cover story of "it's a terrorist target" is pretty lousy.

Apparently so. The list of objections includes legitimate concerns about privacy, solar issues, and the residential character of the proposal. If those were the only problems, I have a feeling the designers could have worked around them. However, the concern about it being a terrorist target is insurmountable and based solely on the religious/ethnic identity of the users.

One of the concerns in the re-dressed proposal is that the proposal addressed all of -those- concerns..but only for the occupants, and no consideration for the safety of "others" was made in the risk assessment. It;s kind of funny, because the idea of blast walls was shot down on the notion that they would be unsightly. Damned if you do.....jewed if you don't.
