That is the downside. Parsons has said himself in real life interviews he is not into science. But that is why you have script writers. That is one thing about him I don't admire. I am not saying that everyone has to be Hawking, but science is still something that should be valued, and give every kid at the youngest age at a minimum, a very decent general understanding.
TBBT, I am sure has, and will continue to inspire young viewers into getting into science.
Mayim Bialik is far better because you know, she actually is a qualified scientist.
Also if kaley Cuoco is up to it, she would be a better host-interviewer with Mayim Bialik both because of her role as the exact opposite on the show, and because despite her role, the actress herself seems intelligent enough to form two thought at the same time.

Cringe worthy but still funny. I still love it because it open the door in pop media for skeptics to feel more comfortable being open skeptics.
And his mom's way of getting Sheldon back to Caltech after Sheldon embarrassed himself by publishing research based on falsified data is to imply he would be teaching evolution to creationists if he didn't.
