Sacramental wine was exempt during prohibition. Obscenity laws are not specific to any religious traditions. Anything he can imagine would apply equally to orthodox Jews. Pick any state that has passed or proposed a Religious Freedom Act.  It's really not about favoring religion, though.  They only favor christianity.

Are you saying that Christians should only be allowed to practice their religion in private? You do realize that the freedom of conscience and the free exercise of religion is a protected human right subject only to a compelling state interest, which is a very high standard. Or have you stopped believing in human rights? Or maybe you think some human rights are more equal than others.

They do.  The authors of the bill in Indiana said as much.  A muslim claiming religious freedom is just a potential terrorist in their eyes.  The only religious freedom that these christians want is to do whatever they want and say its part of their practice.
